The Passing of an era

Today was a sad day 5 months to the day of the real start of the font project, Bob Imsand has completed his work on the font, save a touch up here and there and some small mechanical issues as the font is in more us. Thanks a bunch Bob and all those who worked to give our Church such a beautiful font. If you want to leave Bob a nice word in the comments, I will publish them. Peace

Font update part II

Sorry for all the posting today. I just had to put one more out there. Today in the narthex we have had at least four people working all day to get the font ready for Saturday. They are doing great work. They have cut fingers, aching backs, and battled fatigued to get this all done. I could not be more proud of this group and all those who have helped get this font to where it is today. Keep them in your prayers as they work, and say an extra prayer of thanksgiving for all the hard work that has been done and will be done before Saturday. Peace.

Font update for March 17, 2008

Okay folks the font is continuing to come along. We cannot wait for the completion. We got a bit set back with the sealant issue. The mosaic is finished now all they have to do it put it in the font and get the little touch ups done. It will come down to the wire but it seems as if it will be done on time and we could not be happier. Here are some photos from the other day when the mosaic was getting finished. More to come as we have it. Enjoy.

Font update

Well the font is coming along swimmingly. (pun intended) We have three coats of sealant on the interior. The mosaic is moving right along. Thank for all who are making this project move well, and making it so special because of the work of all of you, our fellow parishioners, are doing. We should be done by Easter...keep praying.

Font frame construction

Here are some up to date photos of the font. The guys you see in the photos came in and in about 2.5 hours and put all the block out and leveled, it was amazing to see craftsmen at work. You will see for yourself this weekend but it is amazing. enjoy

Font update...

Well, things are moving full steam ahead with the construction of the new font. Linda has the final on the mosaic and it looks wonderful. Here are a couple of photos of Bob and his pit. Enjoy
