This is amazing that this guy did not die, one of the few to go over without some sort of protection and still live to talk about it. Full story here.

Question for you today
I really like this song. Do you know why one might think it is appropriate today? And why they would be wrong? A waffle is on the line. Enjoy
UPDATE: Well I think JB and I were going in the same direction on this question. However there were two other answers given that could work as well, however they were the wrong King Wenceslaus. So I will Officially declare it a tie and I will eat a waffle as my reward for making that judgement.

Trivia for my night owls...
Tom Doyle was washing windows on a high-rise office building when he slipped and fell off a sixty foot ladder onto the concrete sidewalk below. Incredibly, he did not injure himself in any way. How was this possible?

This one is a bit more of a challenge
Mr. and Mrs. Smith were walking home from the shopping mall with their purchases when Mr. Smith began to complain that his load was too heavy. Mrs Smith turned to her husband and said, "I don't know what you're complaining about because if you gave me one of your bags, I would have twice as many as you, and if I gave you just one of mine, we would have the same number of bags." How many bags were each of them carrying?
UPDATE: Looks like we have a winner. The correct answer is...she has 7 bags and her husband has 5 bags. "Rob" is our winner, I am guessing it is Rob Schulten, because there is no last name on the comment. So Rob reveal yourself to me and I will get you your prize. More later...

Trivia
Ok, you all did quite well with my last easy question so here is another. Same prize, a waffle! Remember sign you posts so I know who you are.
If it takes 12 men six days to dig 12 holes, how long will it take one man to dig half a hole?
UPDATE: You cannot dig half a hole. So even though we had plenty using their math skills you still can't dig half a hole. So our winner was Mark Matthews, when he gets back from Canada you can have a waffle on me. BTW the comments in here do not post automatically, so I can screen just in case anyone does not follow the rules. Also I don't always post the answer until a few people have chimed in, so that is why if you posted an answer early you only saw it once I posted all the answers.

Trivia is back
Prize is a waffle at my Waffle House.

Bob purchased two cigars at the tobacconist which, together, cost $1.10. One cigar cost one dollar more than the other. What were the individual pieces of the two cigars?
UPDATE: Selina Schulten was our winner for this question. The cost of the cigars is $0.05 and $1.05. Congratulations Selina see me at Mass and I can get you your prize. I would also like to remind all readers that if you hope to win I will need to know who you are so don't post anonymously without some indication who you are.

Mindteaser
Ok sports fans here is another mindteaser for you...same prize as last time (a T-mobile card...one prize per month).
Which one of the following words does not belong with the others and why?
FatherAuntSisterCousinMotherUncle
UPDATE: I have posted all of the responses to this question. Let me say that no one has got it correct. Someone did figure out the answer but not for the obvious reason, and when you find out you will go...d'uhhhh. So the prize is still up for grabs...now go get it.
UPDATE 2: The answer is: Cousin does not belong since all the others refer to a specific sex. So the winner is my sister Angela in Salt Lake City...way to go AFGG

Mindteaser
OK here is another one for you to think about...let's see who is first with the correct answer.

Bob was bragging about the ranch he had purchase, when Carlos commented that it was probably just a "dinky little" two horse farm. Bob thrust out his chest and replied, "My ranch, I'll have you know, has all horses but two, all cows but two, and all sheep but two." How many animals does Bob own?

Another mindteaser...
You remember this, don't you. Well here is another one. First with correct answer wins. Good luck!
In Hawaii, if you drop a steel ball weighing five pounds from a height of 45 inches, will it fall more rapidly through water at 20 degrees Fahrenheit or water at 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Or will it make no difference?
UPDATE:So the winner is our seminarian Mark Starr (darn engineers they ruin the fun so quickly, don't they...heheheheh). The correct answer is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. At 20 degrees Fahrenheit the water would be ice.
Stay tuned for more to come. Peace

A new feature
The last time I was on a cruise, they had this wacky trivia game. Basically it was a bunch of odd ball questions...I did not win, but next time I should be able to do well. Anyway I thought I would post a question now and then for you to ponder and answer. If you know the answer leave it in the comments to this post...you could win a prize. I will post the answer in a few days. Enjoy
How many grooves are there on each side of a standard 33 1/3 record album that has six songs on each side?
(Photo by Felipe Micaroni Lalli from wiki media)UPDATE: There is one groove on each side. When you put the needle on the album it follows one groove from the beginning to the end. The person with the correct answer first is Bernie G from OKC. Congratulations Bernie, yes you'is smart!
