Mindteaser

Ok sports fans here is another mindteaser for you...same prize as last time (a T-mobile card...one prize per month).

Which one of the following words does not belong with the others and why?
Father
Aunt
Sister
Cousin
Mother
Uncle

UPDATE: I have posted all of the responses to this question. Let me say that no one has got it correct. Someone did figure out the answer but not for the obvious reason, and when you find out you will go...d'uhhhh. So the prize is still up for grabs...now go get it.

UPDATE 2: The answer is: Cousin does not belong since all the others refer to a specific sex. So the winner is my sister Angela in Salt Lake City...way to go AFGG

I cannot wait to experience this

OMG

When can you hear this?...if at all?

Can you hear this?

This is what is called a mosquito alarm, supposedly only teens can hear it. I could only hear it at about 12khz, how about you?

UPDATE: After Jon S. mentioned something in the comments I gave this a listen at home and could hear it at 14.1, so maybe it does have to do with the speakers? Anyone else have anything to add?

Devastating news

I am sure you have all heard the news about Cyclone Nargis and what has happened in Myanmar, let us keep all people involved and harmed by this disaster in our prayers. The death toll may exceed 100,000!

We will be using some of this weekends collection for relief, but if you want to go ahead you can go to CRS and donate now. To see some of the damage go here and see the interactive image of the devastation. Again pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the people in Myanmar and the people trying to help.

Photos from Charleston

These three are my three favorite photos from Charleston. I took a whole bunch more of them which you can see below. Enjoy

Bob and Judy have five children. Half of them are boys. How is this possible?
Answer: The other half are also boys.
Jon S. our winner, see me at Mass and I will give you your winnings. Also do check the answers as we had an internet celebrity give an answer.

This looks like some fun

Feet and their people

For quite some time now I have taken photos of peoples feet and calves...not sure why but always gets people laughing and it is something to talk about. There are always two photos in the series: 1. The feet and calves and 2. The people they belong to. Here is my latest photo, I will post more as I get them and some from the past as well. Enjoy

As an aside you can tell this little fella looks like Napoleon and when I asked him about looking like Napoleon another kid says to me..."he doesn't look anything like Napoleon!" Just goes to show you when you say one thing people do not always understand what you intend. I meant Napoleon and he thought Napoleon , not the same.

Names on the prayer list

A frequent reader Doug Scholl's father, Willard Scholl, has been placed on the list. Also you will remember John Paul Rosamond from this post and the posts from Salt Lake City, has also been placed on the list. Doug's dad is in hospice care now and John Paul is having a major surgery today, so please keep them both in your prayers. If you have a name you want on the list here let me know. Peace

UPDATE: Kelly Rosamond has a post up about John Paul's surgery he is doing well, but can still use your prayers. Peace

Sung stuck in my head...

Just take a listen to this group, more after the video...

The group is called Libera (here and here) and they are a boy choir from London. I cannot seem to get their music out of my head, so I thought I would share their music with you, then I won't be the only one with their songs on repeat within my noggin. Enjoy

Away for a few days

(image from CLSA)

I am in Charleston SC for the Canon Law Society of America, Easter Regional Canonist Society meeting, sounds like fun huh? Okay I have to admit it does not sound as much fun but it is still quite interesting. We have an all star line up of presenters. Here are two big names...Msgr. Fred C. Easton, JCL and Fr. Fancis G. Morrissey, OMI, JCD, PhD. So I am in a meeting now, well on a bit of a break and will be home on Wednesday. It promises to be a great meeting, hopefully I will have some photos later. Peace

Picnic & Ministry Fair 2008

It was a blast and everyone seemed to have had a great time. Thanks to all who made this a wonderful event. Here are the photos.

I went to Everybody's Pizza with Fr's Bryan and Michael, it was great, but a bit too much food.

New clock

One more before I get to sleep. When I was in Florida I got this clock, that projects time on the ceiling, as a gift. It is awesome...g'night
