I just got the news that Fr. Jim Miceli, my first assignment Pastor in the Archdiocese, died this morning. Please keep his family, the other priest of the Archdiocese and the people of St. Mary's in Rome Georgia in your prayers.

Although I had not seen Fr. Miceli since some friends and I lived in a house across from the cathedral back in the late 70s... I too lost a friend as well as a wonderful priest! Quite simply put... Gone too soon. I have no doubt the parishioners at st. Mary's will give him the "sendoff" that a Shepard of 19 years deserves. I'm sure Archbishop Gregory will be amazed at the outpouring of love at the funeral Mass.
