Slow down Sunday
This is amazing slo-mo video of the animal kingdom. Amazing so fast it creates light and boils water! Enjoy!
Been about a month.
Well it has been about a month since I had to put Rosie to sleep. I sure do miss that little stinker. Seems as I leave the office each day I wait for her to wake up so we can go home. I went to the back porch yesterday and realized I had not been there in weeks because I have not had to let her outside since she died. Well I thought I was doing okay, but after watching this short documentary I realized just how much I miss her but how correct the decision was for her. Beware this documentary is a real tear-jerker...you have been warned. Peace

Not in reality
Computers can't really do most of these things. Sorry to burst your bubble. Have a great day from rainy Georgia. FWIW I love the Steve Martin appearance in this video. Enjoy!
Amazing video
I am sure this was lots of fun to make...and somewhat of a headache as well. Enjoy this really cool video!

I did not forget about these bots
Don't think for a second that I have forgotten about the pending robot takeover. Just look at how well they dance. Make sure you see the end with the overlord of the robot (this will only be a temporary situation if the robots have their way with things) takes the dancing robot off the stage. Enjoy!

Sad News
I just got the news that Fr. Jim Miceli, my first assignment Pastor in the Archdiocese, died this morning. Please keep his family, the other priest of the Archdiocese and the people of St. Mary's in Rome Georgia in your prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord!

Rosie and her final resting place.
Well you know that I had to put Rosie to sleep last week. After her peaceful death Adam and Tim at Parrott Funeral Home and Crematory, cremated Rosie for me. Since she was a Chihuahua it would only be fitting to find a nice place in sunny Mexico for her to be laid to rest. Since I was on my way to vacation I thought a great place would be Costa Maya, Mexico. The sun was beating down hard so we did not go too far from the ship. I found a nice street where they were planting a nice walkway with beautiful foliage. I asked the boss man if it would be alright to bury Rosie there and he had no problems. So here are the photos of the burial of Rosie.
Since I was in Mexico I wore my Shirt Woot PAINata shirt for a bit of local flair.
The hole is dug and ready to be filled.
Filled the hole up with Rosie's ashes and some fill dirt and the burial is done. If you are ever in Costa Maya let me know I will tell you where to find her grave.

It was nine years ago today that our new chuch for St. Matthew was dedicated. Here is the article from the Georgia Bulletin. Congratulations to a great parish family!
I forgot to mention some good news!
Rosie is doing much better on her new drugs (steriods) and her lymp nodes are begining to decrease in swelling! She is eating like a horse and is in great spirits. Thanks for your prayers. Lets hope she contiue to respond to her treatment.

VIP Guests
So after lunch we had a brief visit from Ken Hackett and Bishop Woldetensaé Ghebreghiorghis, Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Harar. He was sharing thanks from the people of his area and the good work CRS does for the people in his area. Likewise he shared a story of when then Senator Obama visited as a Congreassional delegtaion on a fact finding mission about the floods in the area. What a wonderful and humble man! Pray for him and his people.
In Baltimore
Deacon Bill and I are in Baltimore for the Global Fellows Gathering. Lot of great info on the good work of CRS and specifically of the Global Fellows. Great to reconnect with old friends and create some new ones as well. I will post some photos when I get the chance. Peace.

Vespers
I went to the Vespers for Bishop-Elect Luis Zarama tonight and it was beautiful and wonderful. At the end of Vespers Bishop-Elect Zarama shared a few words which were very touching. After Vespers we had a nice reception and I got a photo with the man of the hour! FWIW, he likes my new hairdo. More photos to come but in the interim if you need more info you can go here to check it out. If you want to watch the Ordination from home head over to AIB for more info. Keep Bishop-Elect Zarama and our Archdiocese in your prayers. Peace.

Free Waffles!
It has become my tradition to buy waffles for those who would like them on the feast of St. Matthew. So, tomorrow morning I will be at my Waffle Home from 8:45-9:30 buying waffles for those who would like to join me. Waffles only, the rest of your ticket is your responsibility. See you in the morning.

We raised over $8000 for CRS!

Irony in the Anchorage Airport
I took this photo when I was in the Anchorage airport. I just love the irony that in the Ted "Series of Tubes" Stevens Anchorage International Airport wifi is free...albeit a bit clunky and slow. If this makes no sense to you, take a listen to this rant about net neutrality and a classic case of not getting it.
