Been busy in berlin

I will try to put a few things up here for you to read on Satuday (my rest day before he big race) So just give me a few more hours and I will have some wonderful photos and stories of what we have seen and in our first two days...I am tired now, I will do more later.

Birthday is Postponed

Since I have the marathon on Sunday (by the way go back and read this post I had last year) I have to watch what I eat and drink (especailly what I drink) I have decided to celebrate my birthday next Tuesday in Munich...at Oktoberfest! Doesn't that sound like a much better idea...done with the race and ready to eat and drink!

Slow posting

Sorry about not doing much posting the past two weeks. It has been rather hectic with ministry, other work things for the Archdiocese, training for my upcoming races, dealing with 2 deaths etc...I will be trying to get a bit more out there as I can. Thanks for sticking by me! Peace

I'm back

Well last week was a real stinker, with being sick and all it really threw me for a loop. Anyway back on my feet and back to work now so I need to get back to blogging. I have a few things still about Japan that I would like to put in here, just need some more time. So I am back and hopefully I can get back to posting with more frequency. Peace

Update

Now I am only 10 hours away from being on the plane and I need to get some sleep, but I want to tell you a few things before I go. I will not be blogging much, if at all, until at the very earliest Saturday noon-ish Atlanta time, as I will be on retreat. If I do find some wifi here and there I will send an update, but don't hold your breath. I have posts set to go out each day while I am on retreat. They will post at 2:22PM each day I am not live. Busy day & woe...

Well it was a busy one today with a trip to the Court of Appeals, then the Archdiocesan Finance Office, then to a clergy meeting at the Cathedral then back here for Mass and work I should have gotten done in between all the other stuff...oh well. I hope you day has not been as hectic. I have spoken to a few people and heard a bunch of heart ache and woe this week, so give this Josh Groban song a listen and know you are loved! Peace

I'm back

I know the posting has been a bit light recently but I am back, so open wide, there is lots to come today and tomorrow. Peace

Wanna bet?

I must confess, I need to loose some weight. The few times I have been successful at keeping some weight off was when I had money and pride on the line. I was reminded of this the other day when talking with some friends. So the next day I heard this story was going to be on NPR, go listen to it I will wait...go on I will still be here. Done? Promise? Okay, so the next day Merlin Mann over at 43Folders put up a piece about the same story. Then my beloved Lifehacker posted about it as well. I just wish the Lord would be clear when he is trying to motivate me. So I have taken the hint. The stories are all about this site called, StikK. Basically it is a site that people make a bet and whatever the outcome is, StikK pays off the bet. This all revolves around prospect theory, and as I see it, I respond well to loosing things. So here is the deal: I would like to enter a bet with me as one side and anyone else as a whole on the other. Now I need to risk something, so lets say I will match up to $500.00 of my own money to be matched by others on the other side of this bet. Within the next week anyone who would like to enter this bet drop me a line or better yet post something in the comments and lets get this set up ASAP. Deacon Bill said he would hold the money (our own version of StikK). If I win the bet the money you put up will go to CRS. But, I will be open to you suggestions as to where my money will go if I loose the bet. Now the place needs to be something that you think would make me work harder--so that my money will not go to that cause or group. So let me know if you want to be part of the bet and where you think the money should go. Let me hear from you soon. I think we can have some fun with this. Peace!

Back Home

Well I got bumped from my flight yesterday afternoon and put on the red-eye and got home this morning early and with 400$ DeltaDollars too boot. More posting from the weekend coming soon, sorry for all the delay. Peace

Should have taken Advent off

I know a few bloggers that have taken Advent off...maybe I should have done that, but I did not. Well as you know it has been quite busy during Advent. I am getting flack from Jack G. who is a faithful reader, so I am going to stay up late tonight and post of few fun things. When I get the chance I will put up a few photos from my rapid trip to the west coast (more on that later).
